Baby's Shape Art

I was trying to teach yee shape this week.

This is a easy prepare activities , but it can create a nice piece of artwork .

I cut out few types of shapes using color paper and put some stick glue on the A4 cardboard , and let yee stick the cut-out shapes on it.

                                          

I start by introduce her each type of shape and colors, and i keep on telling her what shape and its colors that she is holding..... But, yee where are you looking ??  Must be concentrate while mummy is teaching okay ? 

                               

I was trying to tell her put the glue on the blank side, so it is not overlap (cause this lazy mummy only put glue on the cardboard , not every shapes )..

She doesn't really enjoy this activities, but she still try to fill up the whole piece of paper with 'shapes' (by throwing and dumping everything in .. ^.^||||)

Anyhow, this is a good try activity and it keep the little one busy for sometimes.

Tot School Week 1 (17 months)

I have been reading 1+1+1=1's blog for sometimes, and i was amaze with lots of ideas in tot school.

This is the first week we 'officially' start out tot school , it was fun and more for me to learn ...

We practice pincer grasp and fine motor skill with this activity. She love this and can continue do it for more than 2 rounds.

I give her one oversize pom-pom, you need to push hard to get the pom-pom go into the hole. Yee seems not able to do this, she totally ignore this pom-pom after a few try >.<

Yee's Mr. Potatoes head ..

M&D puzzle, she able to fit in circle and oval shape with lots of encouragement .. 

I fill up an empty tissue box with a few of my scarf for her to pull. But she seems doesn't like it :( This is the first time she take it down from the tray ..

She is trying to put back all the scarf back to the box , so cute :)

This is the first time she try the knob cylinder. She able to put back all the cylinder but not in a correct order .. Will let her practice more next week, and hope she get the concept  

We also have our artclass. I gave her some finger paint and sponge to paint.

She doesn't enjoy it much. We ended our art session within 5 minutes when Yee notice her 'colorful' finger..

She insists to wash her hand , and we ended the session after this :(

and we do read a few books every night.

Yee love books , but she hardly accept new books. So i keep reading almost the same books since she was small..Anyway i am trying hard to introduce her some new books. 

I have a full cabinets of books from the last book sales .. "."

Yee: "Stick - Stick" Time

I display a few of her 'art' project on wall , and one of them with sticker on it.

Everyday she will try to climb up the table to reach this art piece with sticker.

She like to tare it down and stick it back , and repeat it .. 

This is the recently sticker activities i gave her.

And it is the 1st time ever she sit on her place for more then 10 minutes.

(and i got my 1st shower without getting disturb from her , phew!)

I removed the blank part and left the sticker alone. I think this way is easier for Yee to peel. 

Maybe i can use this to do shape matching activity when she is older ..

This is a good activity to practice her fine motor skill and pincer grasp. It is a challenge to Yee, as she need to really focus to peel out each sticker.

Oopss ..we don't have any. As all the sticker has been 'transferred' to her table when i come out from my shower....... ^.^|||

Jungle Classroom - Flower Theme

We joined our 1st jungle classroom few weeks ago.

The idea of jungle classroom is to allow children to have their class outside the room . Each month they will have a theme , and only allow a maximum of 20 families to join.

This month theme is flower , and it was held in a park with lots of flowers ...
I was excited when i manage to get yee yee a seat to this class.

The fees for each child is only RM 5 (for purchase materials) Each family need to bring some foods to share with everyone. And we need to bring our container and utensil also ,I love this concept , it is so green.

The class has a energy start with some exercise. The kids begin their learning theme after the breakfast .They have Flowers Cards and Song, Story Time , Craft and ..... ( i don't know the rest, cause we left earlier :P)

All the "students" have their class on these mat ..

Walking carefully on the mat (this is the first time she walk barefoot outside the room, good sensory touch for her)

You can see from the picture , she is one of the youngest in the class

What did she saw ?

All the daddy mummy here are nice and warm .. I actually pack my things last minutes ..and of course i left out lots of things ...

So i got : mosquitoes repellent, scissor, glue, color pencil...etc from others daddy muumy #^.^#  -- Thanks :) You all are too sweet ..

This is the 'flower' hat craft done in the class, 100% made by daddy & mummy

We didn't color it , as the color pencils was left in the car (^.^||| )

Xia Yee don't really enjoy throughout the whole class, i think this is too hard for her at her age.. But i like this concept. I am sure will join again when Xia Yee get older 

We spend sometimes in the playground after this, i think this is the most enjoy moment  in the whole morning

Bull Dog -- new 'pet' ?

This is your new pet , mummy got a 'house' for him also .

You love your dog.

Since the day you got him, everytime mummy ask :"where is the bull dog?" 

You will show mummy a innocent + pity face (seems mummy has kill your dog) , and quickly look for it.

You love to hug him before bedtime.

You are so caring and loving  -- mummy is proud of you ^.^

Xia Yee 17th Month

Well, yesterday You are 17th Months old and this is the 3rd post your lazy mummy write for you.

The last one was 2 months ago (oooppss ...#^.^#)

What you can do now ?

You still cannot jump ...but you can walk backward now ^.^ (mummy notice it during the music class with surprise)
You can follow a few action during you music class without mummy's help
You can call Papa , Mummy, Mama and everyone OUT LOUD.
You like to mention everybody name and want mummy to tell you where are them before you sleep.
You will say '外公-grandpa', when mummy's phone ring
You like to say 'cheers' and toasts with mummy using your sippy cup when drinking water
You can pronounce many words now ---yesterday you say 'Ice-Cream' to mummy when mummy don't let you eat it (Papa was surprise, as he cannot figure out how you pick up this word )
You like to wash hand and keep saying 'wash hand' to mummy all the times..
You like to play sticker -- you will mention 'stik' 'stik' to mummy when you want to.
You like to sit on your potty for a long ...long ..time even when you are done  ^.^|||

and many many more .....

This is the 1st Blog and Post mummy write for you. Even mummy don't have a very good command in English, but mummy will try the best to record down all the things and happening on you in this blog.

You are 15 months now . 

You can walk & run steadily. When mummy say 'jump' , you can 'jump' with your foot stick to the floor.

You like to eat all type of food but mummy's cook porridge. 

You like to play with mummy's iphone & animal babies apps.

You like to carry your dogie and 'phen phen' (elephant) before you sleep.

You like to call mummy all the times, even there is no specific reason and mummy always feels warm and sweet when you call me ..
